The Anderson Volunteer Fire Department consists of 22 volunteer fire personnel, and 6 firefighting vehicles . The department is charged with protecting a current population of more than 6,000 area residents covering an approximate area of 150 square miles.

WE HAVE MOVED TO THE NEW FIRE STATION LOCATED AT 414 HILL ST BY THE HIGH SCHOOL.

Mission Statement

The Central Grimes County Volunteer Fire Department's mission is to be a leading emergency service organization by:

  • Meeting the needs of our community in fire prevention, fire suppression and rescue.

  • Control fire and all other emergencies should prevention fail.

  • Utilizing and improving all of our services and operations.

In carrying out this mission, The Central Grimes County Volunteer Fire Department will:

  • Give top priority to firefighter safety and environmental concerns.

  • Encourage the professional and personal development of our members.

  • Work as teams to take full advantage of our skills, knowledge and creativity.
